Hands-On Leadership at ECM
Rachel Gordon’s over 20-year career in higher education has spanned roles from Enrollment Management to Financial Aid. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Education Compliance Management she leads her team to ensure the company offers a compliant, high quality, streamlined approach to financial aid processing and consulting while ensuring the highest level of customer service for our partner institutions. Rachel’s exceptional leadership skills are what drive, inspire and empower her teams. Through her many years in executive level consulting and leadership roles, she has successfully mentored, cultivated, and crafted hundreds of employees on dozens of teams. In addition, Rachel has led initiatives to create central processing systems from large multi-campus universities to smaller proprietary institutions using her skills in technology, communication, human enterprise, and customer service. At every posting, Rachel has improved workflows, automation, staff training and development, and team interactions. She has presented at numerous local, regional, and national conferences and has served on a national scholarship committee as well as advisory boards. She is often heard saying that Admissions is the Window to the school and Financial Aid is the Door. Her expertise is invaluable to anyone looking to create or implement compliant, seamless, and customer-friendly process flows. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and is known by her friends as an accidental gourmet.
Michael is Vice President, Technology and Compliance. He is responsible for creating and leading the company’s technology vision and strategy; for the research and development, innovation, product design and rollout of solutions that deliver exceptional internal and external customer experiences; Title IV compliance; and business security.
Michael held varying executive roles in both campus and corporate capacities in the 27 years prior to joining ECM Solutions. Over the years he has worked in every aspect of Financial Aid. Most recently, he oversaw the Operations, Title IV accounting, SFA compliance, Regulatory Reporting, FA Technologies, Training, and Support divisions while consistently developing and implementing on-going business process improvements in support of cross-functional initiatives. “I started out in Financial Aid as a work study in college and have loved it ever since.” says, Michael.
Michael has a BS in Business Administration from National American University and an MBA from Regis University.
Michael enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, riding his motorcycle, and binge watching an array of series across multiple streaming services.
Tammy has over 30 years of experience working in financial aid. She has been an essential component in the design of the ECM computer system FEDD. Tammy manages and coordinates all of the day-to-day operations of Title IV Financial Aid processed through ECM. She is an expert in the fields of federal data management, Heighten Cash Management, processing enrollment reporting, and managing reconciliation. She is best known for solving data complexities that arrive with schools through her high level of attention to detail and customer service style. When Tammy is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her college aged children and her dog Boomer.
Michael is an experienced Financial Aid Director with over ten years of dedication to creating an efficient workflow and supportive working environment. He is enthusiastic about educating and working collaboratively with members of his team to provide superior customer service. Drawing from his background in operating a wide range of Title IV organizations, he understands the importance of building strong foundational knowledge. Outside of work, Michael enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time exploring nature.
